Finnish Open Universities

The Open University in Finland is not a single, coherent organisation. Rather, almost all Finnish universities offer Open University education. The first Finnish Open University was established in 1970.

The Open University Education at Finnish Universities strategy for 2010–2013 has been compiled and updated collaboratively by Finnish open universities. The strategy includes the principles and objectives of open university education and provides guidelines for collaboration within the Open University Forum. You may read a summary of the strategy from this link.

Each university has its own degree requirements and curricula. Because study practices vary, it is best to contact each Open University for further information.
